What this website collects
This website is made up of static pages. It is deliberately simple, and it collects no personal data from you directly. Specifically:
- There are no contact forms, sign-up forms, user accounts or logins.
- We do not use analytics or website-measurement tools on this site.
- We do not use advertising, tracking pixels or profiling technologies.
- This website sets no cookies of its own — not for analytics, advertising or preferences.
- We do not load fonts, scripts, images or embedded content from third-party domains. Everything the site needs is served from jprg.co.uk.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Technical data recorded by our hosting provider
The site is hosted on our behalf by Netlify, which acts as a processor for us. Like any web host, it records standard technical request data when a page is served — such as the requesting IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser user-agent string and the referring page.
We use this only to keep the site available, secure and working correctly, and to investigate errors or abuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website. This data is retained according to our hosting provider’s standard log-retention periods and is not used to build any profile of you.
If you email us
If you email hello@jprg.co.uk, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your email address, your name and the content of your message. Our email for the jprg.co.uk domain is hosted by HostXNow, which acts as a processor for us and stores that correspondence on our behalf.
We use it only to respond to you, to keep a record of the enquiry, and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, or the taking of steps before entering into a contract with you. We keep correspondence for as long as needed for the enquiry or the working relationship, and for as long as we are required to keep business records for legal, tax and accounting purposes. We never use your address for unsolicited marketing.
Who we share information with
We do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. It is handled by two service providers, each acting on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:
- Netlify — website hosting, which records the technical request data described above.
- HostXNow — email hosting for the jprg.co.uk domain, which stores correspondence you send us.
Where the law requires us to disclose information — for example to a regulator or in response to a valid legal request — we will do so.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to our processing, and to receive your data in a portable form. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to that processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@jprg.co.uk. We will respond within the time limits set by law. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website works — for example by adding a contact form or a measurement tool — we will update this policy before or at the same time, and change the date at the top of this page.
